Viticcio
Viticcio, with more than 30 hectar of specialized vines, has undergone various transformations, much of this having been done to achieve its present state; the vines have been restructured (respecting DOC and DOCG regulations) and modified (increasing the variety of vines). In addition, the cellar has been renovated to include the most modern technology. The use of barriques has been part of our technique since 1985 and is used with discretion and competence - no excessive use of vanilla and spices originating from the oak. Futhermore, we have experimented and acquired new methods of cultivating the vines - autochthonous (native) and not. The result of these experiments known as "supertuscans", table wines (IGT) Monile and Prunaio have had ample success throughout the world. The first grape harvest dates back to 1964 with the production of less than 20,000 bottles and are sold in Europe, North America and Japan all of which are characterized by their exceptional quality. Despite this production increase our establishment continues to be conducted as a "family business", enlivened and blessed by the presence of five lovely women (mother, wife and 3 daughters) to whom the names of some products and vacation apartments have been attributed. Here you'll find wine-makers whose respect for tradition and and advanced technology meet and intertwine with harmony and professionalism while a watchful eye on the environment.
