It's not from Champagne but this beautiful French sparkler is crisp and fruity with a soft balanced finish without the high price of Champagne. Small bubbles make this an ideal wine for toasting or Mimosa's.

Apple and hay aromas get it going, followed by spicy, slightly cinnamon-tinged apple flavors. Finishes with toast and seems solid on the tongue. Nothing outrageous or offputting; right down the center as sparklers go.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
